The Visible Part - Mostafa Saifi Rahmouni

In The Visible Part, an unassuming van stands seemingly deserted. The Volkswagen Transporter is easily mistaken for a badly parked car until, every so often, its inertia is disturbed by a sudden trembling and thudding sounds. By means of an internal mechanism, Rahmouni has recreated a scene that seems out of place yet familiar to the artist: the hidden but still palpable aggressions of violent police interventions. The van’s brusque movements unveil nothing yet summon the most brutal of stories.
