Moussem Communities is a hub of activities that connects our artists with people living in our neighbourhood, Kuregem. Through participatory projects, creative workshops, organised studio visits and more, we want to engage folks from the neighbourhood of all ages, both as visitors and as active participants in artistic processes. Think: a summer portrait-painting course for teenagers, an open studio where not only professionals from the sector but also neighbours join in the discussion, an exhibition organised by a women’s group together with an artist in residence. To achieve this, we partner with local organisations, schools, artists, youth groups and community members.
