Love Without Borders
Hala Mohammed, a liberal and non-conformist woman from Syria, reads some of her own work. Boasting an immediate and sensory style, she belongs to a new generation of female Arab poets, who record their experiences as women and intellectuals in the Arab world.
Hailing from Morocco, Taha Adnan has lived for several years in Brussels. He will be reading some unpublished poems and a selection from I hate love, a collection that appeared in 2010. Koen Stassijns will supplement these readings with extracts from his anthology Liefdes werk, 300 gedichten over liefde uit de hele wereld .
