Haj Mohammed Bajeddoub & Ensemble

Bajeddoub shot up from a muezzin to one of the undisputed masters of traditional Moroccan music. He presents an anthology of the Moroccan Sufi repertoire (Samaâ). ‘Samaâ’ means ‘listen’ in Arabic and refers to the mystical Sufi practice of listening and singing. This produces a state of ecstasy and leads the participant into a trance.
